Creators Fashion Interviews

Thank you for joining us today, Can you introduce yourself, what is your name and what is your creative mediums?

Hello, my name is Anjola. I’m a model and content creator.

What does your name mean?

My full name, Anjolaoluwa means ‘God is with me’

So far into your modelling Journey, what has been your favourite parts of modelling?

My favorite part, has definitely been the various styles and variations of modelling. Editorial, fashion, beauty.

So with your modelling, you also branch into other creative outlets, which ones are those and how does it benefit your modelling Journey?

So I also do content creation and make up which allows me to see all sides of a shoot if that makes sense? If I need to do my own makeup for a shoot, I can. If I’m working with other creatives, it’s easy for me to give my own creative opinions as well.

When starting a shoot, how do you prepare for it?

I always ask the photographer for their mood board a couple of days to the shoot, practice different poses that fit the mood board and on the day, I stretch and confirm from the photographer again what kind of poses they want.

What is your day to day outfit like when you are not modelling?

Very casual and comfy. Baggy jeans, a crop top and hoodie/jacket depending on the weather.

If you have any superpower, which one would that be and how would you use it for your creative work?

Shapeshifting. So I can transform into whatever character I need to be for that shoot .

What is the best fashion advice you have received so far on your creative Journey?

Hard work and perseverance always pays off.

What are you favourite type of content to make?

Fashion styling.

When a brand is approaching you, what are the positive and negatives you look out for before accepting the job?

Positives is 100% the pay and following on from that is the brand itself. Do I like their products? Do their ethos match with mine.?

The negatives would be them offering gifts and exposure for work. Their products not being something I would ever use .

What advice would you give your 17 years old self , if you could send a message back in time?

Be confident in yourself. In your looks, your intelligence and your choices .

What Makeup Brands are your favourite to work with?

I currently have none but I would love to work with the likes of Fenty Beauty, Pat Mcgrath, Danessa Myricks.

During you downtime from modelling and creating, what do you like to do to kick back and relax?

I love to read so when I’m not ‘working’, I’m 100% reading or watching movies and kdramas.

Any brands you would like to work with in the future ?

In addition to the ones mentioned above, prada, Gucci, dior.

How has being part of Atlantis Model Agency benefited your Career?

They’ve helped to develop me. Encourage and expand my knowledge on what it means to be a model. Modeling isn’t as one sided as I once thought. It’s a very complex and demanding job that pushes you to keep evolving.

Any words you would like to leave our readers with?

Do not let the stagnation of today, impact the progression of your tomorrow. Nothing is out of your reach. Trust in God, and keep focused on your aspirations.
